Rachel Stancliff

I'm CNS's technical writer. I create documentation for software programs, maintain the CNS website, put together the monthly newsletter, create marketing material, and do lots of other projects that require writing, editing, design, and XHTML/CSS skills.

Educational Background

I just graduated with a B.A. in Technical Communication and a minor in Spanish in May 2010! My next challenge is getting my Master's in Technical Communication, which I will begin on in Fall 2010.

One interesting thing about yourself?

Proofreading documents gives me the spine chills. Seriously. There is nothing more enjoyable than using my Grammar Gestapo abilities!

How long have you been at CNS?

I began my internship at CNS in June 2008, started working part-time in August 2008, and moved up to full-time in May 2010.

How did you come to do what you do now?

My internship in Summer 2008 opened up all sorts of opportunities for me at CNS! I originally did just technical writing, especially documentation and internal company documents. As I've become interested in different areas, I've been expanding my role to encompass web design, web development, and marketing.

Hobbies

I'm a huge bookworm, and if I'm not reading, I'm probably creating websites for fun and poking around in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I absolutely love cooking, and I make awesome muffins and cupcakes.

Some important people?

My twin brother, my dad, and my mom. I love my family more than anything, and without them I wouldn't be where I am now.
