Vincent Lewis

I'm the Chief Operations Officer. I manage the daily operation of the business. My overall responsibility is to ensure CNS provides the best possible service to our customers and ensure the company meets it financial profit goals.

Educational Background

I have a BS degree in economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I also have 30 hours towards an MSA in human resources management from Central Michigan University.

Interesting thing? Not sure I have anything that would be of interest to everyone.

How long have you been at CNS?

I've been with CNS since the beginning of its conception, about 17 years.

How did you come to do what you do now?

I joined the Air National Guard directly out of high school and received training in telecommunications. I thought I wanted to be a commodity broker and worked as a grain merchandiser for Louis Dreyfus Corporation after graduating from college. I found that this career field wasn't really what I wanted to do about the time the first Gulf War started. The Air National Guard activated me to run the communication center's 3rd shift while it was required to be operational 24 hours a day. I then took a full time job with Missouri Air National Guard as an electronic mechanic and resigned from my position at Louis Dreyfus. The four current owners of CNS all worked full-time at guard base as we started working part-time afterhours helping local companies perform IT functions. The part-time work grew to the point a decision to either scale back or make it a full-time business came about. We chose to make it full-time and here we are.

Hobbies

I mainly hunt and fish currently, but I would like to get back to flying, scuba diving, woodworking, and restoring classic mustangs sometime in the next few years.

Some important people?

Probably the most important people in my day to day life today are my 3 partners and their families. I am very close to my parents, siblings, and their families and enjoy spending time with them when we get together. Most live within 45 minutes but none live here in St. Joseph so I don't see them everyday.
